  • Interior Color Black Nappa
  • Engine S52

Seller Description

This 2000 BMW M Coupe was purchased on BaT in November 2017 by the seller, who has since added 6k of the 122k indicated miles. Power is from a 3.2-liter S52 inline-six is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, and the car is finished in Titanium Silver Metallic over a black Nappa leather interior. An electric sunroof and heated sport seats were factory equipment, while modifications include a MagnaFlow exhaust system, a Conforti Shark ECU chip, an aftermarket stereo, BBS wheels, and TC Kline coilovers. The clutch, clutch master cylinder, flywheel, trailing arm bushings, parking brake shoes, and mass airflow sensor were replaced in 2018. This M Coupe is now offered with service records covering the seller’s ownership, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.

The car is one of 363 North American-spec M Coupes finished in Titansilber Metallic (354) over black. The roof features a black vinyl wrap, which is said to be imperfectly cut around the antenna. Other modifications include black front kidney grilles and body-color door handles. New M badging was installed by the seller, who notes a dimple on the hood.

18″ BBS CH wheels wear Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires that were installed in 2018, though the right rear tire was replaced again under warranty in April 2019. Stopping power is provided by Corvette Z06 discs up front and Porsche 997 Turbo brakes at the rear, all of which feature blue powder-coated calipers with the M logo. Suspension modifications added during previous ownership included TC Kline coilovers and Ground Control camber plates, and the seller has reinstalled polyurethane trailing arm bushings.

The black Nappa leather interior features heated sport seats, M-branded floor mats, and an electric sunroof. The rear window washer is not working, and the clock does not keep accurate time. According to the seller, the exterior driver’s door lock does not function, but the car is said to lock completely from the passenger door, hatch, or interior. New driver’s seat bushings, windshield washer pump, and parking brake shoes were installed in 2018.

An aftermarket stereo system was fitted during previous ownership and consists of a Pioneer DEX-P99RS head unit and Focal speakers, as well as a JL amplifier and subwoofer. The digital odometer shows 122k miles, 6k of which were added by the seller.

The 3.2-liter S52 inline-six is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. Modifications performed during previous ownership included the installation of a Strong strut tower brace, a MagnaFlow exhaust system, and a Conforti Shark ECU chip and intake. A factory-style clutch, flywheel, and clutch master cylinder were installed in 2018 in addition to a new mass airflow sensor.

Service records covering the seller’s ownership are included in the sale along with a partially-complete tool kit.

The recent Carfax report shows no accidents or other issues and lists four owners with previous registration events in California, North Carolina, Colorado, and Texas.

Back on Bring a Trailer after a couple years. It's had some maintenance since then including a new clutch. It will be fun to see how it does with a no reserve auction.
