Seller Description

Doug's Take

The BMW Z3 M Coupe is an exciting sports car, as it boasts lovable, quirky styling that also provides surprising practicality from its hatchback design. This particular example touts a 5-speed manual transmission and relatively low mileage. It also features a handsome Imola Red exterior finish and some great factory equipment – including 17-inch Style 40 wheels, a limited-slip differential, and a Harman/Kardon sound system. Plus, this M Coupe is unmodified – and it comes with a clean, accident-free Carfax report, for added peace of mind.

Highlights

THIS... is a 2000 BMW Z3 M Coupe, finished in Imola Red with an Imola Red and black interior.

  • This Z3 M features a 5-speed manual transmission, and the odometer currently displays about 36,300 miles.
  • The attached Carfax vehicle history report shows no accidents or mileage discrepancies in this BMW’s past.
  • According to the build sheet provided in the gallery, notable factory equipment includes 17-inch Style 40 wheels, a limited-slip differential, a power sunroof, Nappa leather upholstery, and a Harman/Kardon sound system. The seller reports no notable modifications.
  • Colloquially known as the Clownshoe, the Z3 Coupe joined the Z3 Roadster in showrooms for 1999. Like its convertible counterpart, it used several E36-sourced parts, but it stood out with an unusual, shooting brake-like silhouette that blurred the line between a coupe and a hatchback. The M model benefited from the same 3.2-liter straight-6 as the M3.
  • Power comes from a 3.2-liter straight-6, rated at 240 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission.

A build sheet is provided in the photo gallery, and a partial list of notable equipment includes:

We last saw this coupe for sale in 2021. It only has about 1k new miles in those years leaving the mileage pretty low. Looking at the Carfax, I actually know this coupe as it's been here in Fort Collins. I've seen it in person a couple times and even have a glove box bracket for it on my workbench. Sad to see it's already in Ohio. Bidding up to $24,500.00 so far.
