Seller Description

This is a very rare, Oxford Green BMW M Coupe with no sunroof and a black leather interior, with the famous 315HP, S54 Motor; considered by many to be the best BMW road going motor of all time. Only 678 of these cars were built for the North American Market. This is 1 of only 2 of this 678 which were ordered in Oxford Green with no sunroof.

The car is entirely original except from the suspension and wheels and a few minor interior cosmetic enhancements listed below. I have the original suspension and the original Chrome Shadow BMW 17" Roadstar wheels which are in immaculate, non-refinished, showroom condition.

Interior:
Aftermarket OEM+ armrest with cupholder, aftermarket OEM+ door, elbow rests.

Exterior:
OEM BMW magnetic stone guards wrapped in glossy 3M protective film.

Suspension:
Airlift V2 with discrete, removable controller under the dash. Auto up to ride height on start (Never scratch that front bumper and always be ready for rough roads with a clearance height setting) Air out height is OEM+ (could still be driven on in emergencies, to avoid damage in the event that it ever aired out) This is a very professional Air lift installation with a small 150PSI Tank, 2 Compressors, discretely and meticulously installed in the hatch on a new false floor using BMW OEM Fabric. Everything looks completely OEM and there is not one hole or screw incorporated in the fitting. If BMW had sold the car with air suspension, you might say this is how they would have fitted it. It's attached to the car in a non-permanent way and can be removed with no impact for a future owner. (with the exception of the tank and compressors which are bolted to the new false floor) I have the original floor and a very rare M Coupe Carpet Matt in storage. Suspension was installed 18 months ago and has been driven on for around 1500km. The ride and handling quality of this set-up is a huge upgrade over the original suspension which was ultimately very old E30 suspension. It rides smoother, and corners more quickly than the car did on its original components. I would consider selling the car without the air-ride system included as I know I could repurpose it in the future.

Wheels:
BMW Style 5 wheels, disassembled and rebuilt with new lips and barrels in a 3-piece format, upsized to 18" with a step lip. OEM BBS Green/silver centre caps and custom billet waffles (to replace the original BMW plastic centre caps) Barrels black, lips polished aluminum, faces and waffles are brushed silver. The wheel widths are 9" front, 11" rear. The wheels are completely immaculate and have never need to be refinished since I mounted them to the car. They were built around 2 years ago. While building them, I also commissioned 2 styles of temporary mounting hubs made of billet aluminum. They can be attached and used at any tire mounting shops so that these wheels do not need to come in to contact with machines during the tire mounting/balancing process. The Bridgestone Potenza tires have travelled around 1500km. No spacers are required for this set-up.

Condition:
I have a binder which includes all of the dealership service for the car since it was purchased in Los Angeles in 2002, including the original pre-order for the car in early 2001. It was imported to Alberta, Canada in 2013.
The paint on the car is in immaculate condition with only very minor stone blemishes on the front end, much less than you'd anticipate even for its low miles. It had a 3 stage polish at Mobile reflections 3 years ago and had a 1 stage refresh and nano-coating this spring. The body is entirely swirl free. The cars service is entirely up to date and very recently had an oil and filter refresh. The engine bay looks as though it's never left the BMW Showroom and has travelled a hair over 29,000 miles during its lifetime.

The interior is in 9.9/10 condition with only very minor creasing forming on the drivers seat outer bolster. There are no scratches, cracks or other wear & tear evidence noted anywhere. The car comes with all of its original keys.

Something unique has caught my eye, hence I'm listing this car for sale for a very short period. If the other car I'm looking at is sold, I'll be permanently removing the listing for the M Coupe.

Price is OBO. For context on pricing, here are some recent and relevant (under 40,000miles) BMW S54 M Coupe sale prices from 2019, converted to CAD$ (not to be confused with S52 prices from 99/00.
'02 Black with Sunroof - $74,900 - April'19
'02 Grey with Sunroof - $111,000 - April'19
'02 Red with Sunroof - $120,000 - February'19

As a vehicle which is much more rare than either of these other 2019 sales due to color and lack of sun roof, this is an opportunity to purchase an investment grade car at a fantastic price, that you can drive sparingly and enjoy, while expecting a gradual appreciation in value over the coming years.

I would like to thank the photographers watermarked for the pictures of the car. I'm not in contact with you but really appreciate the images and I'll be happy to send you a thank you if the car sells. Please get in touch with me. Finally, I'd like to commit to getting some additional images of the engine bay and interior but it's unlikely to happen before next week. I'm happy to show the car in NW Calgary, any evening or on the weekend.

It has gained air suspension and wheels since we last saw it, but the original parts are included. Mileage is still less than 30k and the color combo and sunroof-delete is still amazing. The $75k CAD asking price translates to $57k USD which seems ok given the rarity. It needs a lot more photos though.
