Seller Description

Doug's Take

The BMW Z3 M Coupe is an exciting sports car, as it boasts lovable, quirky styling that also provides surprising practicality from its hatchback design. This particular example touts a 5-speed manual transmission and a gorgeous Estoril Blue Metallic finish. It also features some great factory equipment, including 17-inch Style 40 wheels, heated seats, and a Harman/Kardon sound system – along with several nice modifications like a Randy Forbes subframe reinforcement kit and a Dinan cold air intake. Plus, this M Coupe benefits from mostly warm-climate Southern ownership, further enhancing its appeal.

Highlights

THIS... is a 1999 BMW Z3 M Coupe, finished in Estoril Blue Metallic with an Estoril Blue and black interior.

  • The attached Carfax vehicle history report indicates no mileage discrepancies in this M Coupe’s past. it also shows mostly Southern ownership since new.
  • According to the build sheet provided in the gallery, notable factory equipment includes 17-inch Style 40 wheels, a limited-slip differential, Nappa leather upholstery, heated seats, and a Harman/Kardon sound system.
  • Notable modifications reported by the seller include a Randy Forbes rear subframe reinforcement kit, Bilstein shocks and struts, a Dinan cold air intake, and an aftermarket cat-back exhaust.
  • Colloquially known as the Clownshoe, the Z3 Coupe joined the Z3 roadster in showrooms for 1999. Like its convertible counterpart, it used several E36-sourced parts, but it stood out with an unusual, shooting brake-like silhouette that blurred the line between a coupe and a hatchback. The M model benefited from the same 3.2-liter straight-6 as the M3.
  • Power comes from a 3.2-liter straight-6, rated at 240 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission.

The seller states that the driver's door and front end were damaged after it hit a toll booth bollard, and a photo of the damage is provided in the Other section of the gallery. It currently comes with a rebuilt Florida title.

We haven't seen this coupe for sale since way back in 2014. It does have a rebuilt title from way back in September 2001, but most of its miles have been added since then. It has a Randy Forbes subframe kit which is huge along with a Dinan intake, Bilstein suspension and an exhaust. It looks really clean overall. Bidding up to $15,251.00 so far.
