This BMW M Coupe is one of two finished in Steel Gray Metallic over black Nappa for the 2001 Model Year without a Sunroof. It was initially delivered to John Roberts BMW in Dallas, Texas, and was purchased in 2008 by the seller, who has since added approximately 43k of its 86k miles. Powered by a 3.2-liter S54 inline-six linked with a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential, the car features TC Kline coilover suspension, Shadow-finished 17″ Style 40 wheels, heated sport seats, an Alpine stereo, a Harman Kardon sound system, air conditioning, and cruise control. This M Coupe is offered with a spare set of wheels and parts, a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and a Texas title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Steel Grey Metallic (400) and was optioned without a sunroof. Exterior details include front fender vents, a rear window wiper, and quad exhaust outlets. The left quarter panel was repaired and refinished following a parking lot incident, and the front bumper cover and hood have also been refinished. Paint correction was performed and a ceramic coating was applied in 2025, and close-up photographs of the exterior finish and trim are shown in the gallery below.
Shadow-finished 17″ Style 40 wheels are mounted with Nitto NT05 tires. TC Kline coilover suspension and H&R sway bars have been added, and braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs. The brake master cylinder was replaced in 2025 along with the steering angle sensor and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) compressor, although the DSC warning light is illuminated. A spare set of wheels will accompany the sale, photos of which are provided in the gallery below.
The cabin features black Nappa leather covering the heated sport seats, door panel inserts, and center console. Amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, an Alpine stereo, and a Harman Kardon sound system. An air conditioning refrigerant leak was repaired in 2025. The seller notes that the passenger window switch mount, subwoofer cover, and various interior trim components are damaged.
The M-branded leather-wrapped steering wheel features tri-color stitching and frames a tachometer with an 8k-rpm redline, a 170-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 86k miles, approximately 43k of which were added under current ownership.
The 3.2-liter S54B32 inline-six features double-VANOS variable valve timing and a Siemens MSS 54 engine management control system. Output was factory rated at 315 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, and a Dinan strut tower brace spans the engine bay. The seller notes a fuel odor due to a cracked fuel pipe, and the VANOS oil pressure line was replaced in 2025.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a ZF five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.
The Texas title lists “Actual Mileage” under the remark(s) section.
