One of the best decisions I made was to invest in something that I can enjoy that increases in value. That was the purchase of my Z3 M Coupe with the 3.2L S54 engine. It has been an absolute delight to drive this unique car. Only 678 of the “clown shoes’ with the S54 motor were made for the United States. Some have been raced and/or modified, making this original marvel of machinery even more valuable.

I purchased the M Coupe from its 2nd owner in 2018 and it has been a 3-season car for us, kept it in a climate-controlled garage during the winters. The Carfax on this care is clean. I put new Michelin Pilot Sport tires on last fall. The color is BMW’s popular Titanium Silver Metallic with Black Nappa Leather interior. The car has just over 87,000 miles and is extremely clean. As I stated, the car is stock, even to the radio, with a few exceptions that add to the car’s handling. It has the Dinan front strut brace, front Sachs struts, rear Koni shocks, front and real Dinan adjustable anti-roll bars, and the short shifter. I have service records dating back to the purchase by the 2nd owner in 2006.

Those records include replacing front spring struts at 65,000 miles, front brakes at 75,000 miles, transmission gear selector at 86,000, and flywheel and clutch replaced at 86,000. Everything runs like new.

I have loved driving this car, but I am approaching 80 years of age, and admit it is a little harder for my wife to enjoy the rides we take on rustic country roads in the South Kettle Moraine area of Wisconsin.
