Seller Description

This 2000 BMW M Coupe was purchased by the current owner in 2002 and now has 66k miles. The car has been modified with a Dinan cold air intake and an enlarged throttle body, 18″ Apex EC7 wheels, H&R springs, E36 M3 brake rotors, and a ZHP short-shift knob. It is powered by a 3.2-liter S52 inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission and is finished in Cosmos Black Metallic over black Nappa leather upholstery. Additional equipment includes a limited-slip differential, a sunroof, heated sport seats, a CD stereo, a Harman Kardon sound system, air conditioning, and cruise control. This M Coupe is offered in California by the seller on behalf of the current owner with a window sticker, the owner’s manual, service records, and a clean Georgia title in the current owner’s name.

This M Coupe is one of 146 finished in Cosmos Black Metallic over Black Nappa leather for the North American market for the model year. Features include a sunroof, front fender vents, chrome windshield washer jets, a rear window wiper, and quad exhaust outlets. The Carfax report notes “minor damage” to the front of the car in a January 2023 entry, and the seller states that the hood and front bumper were refinished and applied with paint protection film. Paint meter readings are shown in the gallery below.

The 18″ Apex EC7 wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs with cross-drilled rotors that were sourced from an E36 M3. H&R springs are installed, together with Bilstein shocks front and rear, and aluminum rear shock tower mounts. The power steering hose was replaced in October 2021 and a brake fluid flush was performed in October 2023.

The cabin features black Nappa leather covering the heated sport seats, door panel inserts, and center console. Amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, a CD stereo, and a Harman Kardon sound system. A ZHP short-shift knob was installed in 2012.

The M-branded leather-wrapped steering wheel features tri-color stitching and frames a tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline, a 160-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. An analog clock and readouts for voltage and oil temperature are found on the center stack. The digital odometer indicates 66k miles, approximately 43k of which were added under current ownership.

The 3.2-liter S52B32 inline-six features VANOS variable valve timing and has been modified with a Dinan cold air intake and an enlarged throttle body. A Strong Strut tower brace is fitted.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a ZF five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The rear subframe bushings and flex disc were replaced in March 2018 and an oil change was performed in October 2023.

The window sticker notes initial delivery to Tom Williams Imports of Birmingham, Alabama, and lists factory colors, equipment, and a total suggested retail price of $42,870. Factory literature and service records are included in the sale.

The Carfax report shows the aforementioned damage report and lists history in Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, and California.

The Carfax report shows the current owner has had it since 2002 which is awesome. It also shows some minor damage to the front about a year ago. It has a couple good upgrades including Apex wheels, H&R springs, Dinan intake, ZHP shift knob, and a Strong Strut brace. The underside is super clean and it looks to be in pretty good shape overall. Bidding up to $15,000.00 so far
