Stats:
It is one of 678 M Coupes produced with an S54 engine, one of 338 built in 2001, and one of only 21 S54 M Coupes in Phoenix Yellow, two were reported as total losses, it is expected that only 19 exist currently. It is a rare car with a rare color in exceptional 9.5/10 condition.
Condition/History: 9.5/10
The Coupe is very close to factory original condition, with the exception of a few enhancements. Polyurethane rear sub frame bushings were installed for longevity, new TC kline front sway bar links to replace worn factory links, E53 X5 (2001) factory projector HID conversion, factory E46 M3 Sport mode with OEM ASC button, Valentine One hard wire, and a Hi-end audio system with Alpine head unit & MB Quart component speakers. All factory audio components & head unit are included.
It is mechanically in pristine perfect condition and does not need anything. Inspection II has been performed, all fluids & filters replaced/flushed with OEM fluids, new OEM BMW ignition coils, spark plugs, seat bushings replaced with delrin units, self-dimming rear view mirror replaced with new unit, HVAC service, new top quality Interstate Battery & OEM Alternator, Brand new Continental Extreme Contact DW tires. Drives like new, no squeaks, rattles, and feels tight!
It just returned from a thorough inspection and all needed maintenance was performed by Randy Forbes, AKA the M Coupe/Roadster guru. Randy stated the car was in absolute exceptional condition and one of the best he has seen. Blackstone oil analysis came back with flying colors and no concerns. There are minor rock chips on the front end, and a couple minor blemishes on the driver's seat bolster as seen in the photos.
There have been two minor fender-benders/paint work:
1) When going down the spiral exit on a parking ramp, the original owner managed to brush the front passenger corner of the car against the wall. No big deal. Although, because the hood on these cars is sticking out above the wheel well, it got dented and has been replaced with a new one. So, they repainted the fender, bumper and put the new hood. Paint match is near perfect.
2) The 2nd owner. When the car was parked, somebody backed into the driver side door and put a 10" dent right in the middle. Their insurance company fixed it & picked supposedly the best local shop to have it fixed. That shop does a lot of paint/collision repairs for local Porsche, MB and BMW dealers.
Meticulously cared for and detailed with Zymol wax, Leatherique leather care & 303 protection products.
Additional info:
I have extensive records of every repair and maintenance from my owner ship and previous owners that was dealer serviced through the 4 year warranty period. We have full service records dating back to original in service date.
We have owned it for 11 years, are the 3rd owner, the 2nd owner was also an enthusiast originally out of Texas and then moved to MN (owners 2-3 are the same I believe on the CarFax), and the 1st owner was a woman in Utah. Title is F&C in my name.
Just a note, my wife & I are avid BMW M car & Porsche enthusiasts. We currently have 3 M cars, another M Coupe, S52 that I have owned since new, and an E60 Dinan S3R Stroker M5. The Phoenix Coupe is rarely driven nowadays so we are selling one of the two.
Both original keys are included with factory BMW Alarm, the original BMW Z3/M Coupe key with built in flashlight, and the manual.
