Refinished 17″ Style 40 wheels were fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires in 2022. The car is equipped with Automatic Stability Control, and braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs. Additional work in 2022 included flushing the brake fluid and replacing the front brake rotors, pads, and sensors along with a steering-rack boot and one or more struts.
The heated sport seats are upholstered in Dark Gray and Black Nappa leather with white stitching, and matching treatments cover the center console and door panels. Additional appointments include air conditioning, a UUC Motorwerks short-shift kit, cruise control, and a BMW Business CD stereo with a Harman Kardon sound system. In 2022, the driver’s lower seat-belt tensioner was replaced, and the air-conditioning refrigerant was recharged.
The M-branded leather-wrapped steering wheel features tri-color stitching and frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline along with gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The 3.2-liter S52B32 inline-six features VANOS variable valve timing and reportedly received a Shark Injector Performance ECU tune in 2004. The cooling-fan clutch and spark plugs were replaced in 2022, and one or more ignition coils were replaced the following year. The most recent oil change was carried out in 2025.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a ZF five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The fluids in both were changed in 2022.
