Doug's Take
The BMW Z3 M Coupe is an exciting sports car, as it boasts lovable, quirky styling and surprising practicality, thanks to a useful hatchback grafted onto a Z3 M Roadster. This particular M Coupe features several cool modifications including 17-inch Apex wheels, Bilstein B6 shocks and struts, a Racing Dynamics engine air intake, a Randy Forbes subframe reinforcement kit, Powerflex rear subframe bushings, and an upgraded sound system. It also benefits from warm-climate California ownership from new, for added bidder confidence. This looks like a nice Z3 M Coupe, and I'm happy to see it here on Cars & Bids.
Highlights
THIS... is a 2000 BMW Z3 M Coupe, finished in Titanium Silver Metallic with a black and grey interior.

- The attached Carfax history report lists no mileage discrepancies in this BMW’s past. It also confirms that this M Coupe has been registered in California since new.
- Factory equipment includes a limited-slip differential, quad exhaust tips, a power-operated sunroof, Nappa leather upholstery, heated and power-adjustable seats, an M steering wheel, center console-mounted VDO gauges, and air conditioning.

- Colloquially known as the Clownshoe, the Z3 Coupe joined the Z3 Roadster in showrooms for 1999. Like its convertible counterpart, it used several E36-sourced parts, but it stood out with an unusual, shooting brake-like silhouette that blurred the line between a coupe and a hatchback. The M model benefitted from the same 3.2-liter straight-6 as the M3.
- Power comes from a 3.2-liter straight-6, rated at 240 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission.
