Seller Description

Doug's Take

The Z3 M Coupe is a seriously wonderful car, boasting excellent performance and – most importantly – head-turning styling, combined with very interesting practicality thanks to a useful hatchback grafted on to a BMW Z3 Roadster. This particular example touts relatively low mileage, and it's finished in a classic black over tan color combination. It's also mostly unmodified, with an aftermarket CD changer and an M badge in the engine bay being the only changes from stock. This M Coupe is also offered with a clean, accident-free Carfax report for added peace of mind.

Highlights

THIS… is a 2000 BMW Z3 M Coupe, finished in Cosmos Black with a Sand Beige interior.

  • This BMW features a 5-speed manual transmission, and its odometer displays approximately 57,300 miles.
  • The attached Carfax vehicle history report shows no accidents or mileage discrepancies in this M Coupe’s past.
  • Factory equipment includes 17-inch Style 40 wheels, a limited-slip differential, a Harman/Kardon sound system, power-adjustable and heated sport seats, a sunroof, and more as detailed below. Modifications are limited to an M badge added to the core support and a Kenwood CD changer.
  • The E36/8, or "Clownshoe", M Coupe has become sought-after by enthusiasts for its unconventional aesthetic and engaging driving experience. Built as a hybrid of the E30 and E36 chassis, the M Coupe combines hatchback practicality, a capable engine, and a competent chassis in one, analog package.
  • Power comes from an "S52" 3.2-liter inline-6 engine, rated at 240 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission.

Reserve not met at $35,500, but I think it probably should have. Looks like it's back priced at $49,980 unfortunately.

The price of this coupe keeps going up at each dealership it ends up at. It's a nice coupe, but the price is even more optimstic.
