Seller Description

This 2001 BMW M Coupe was delivered new to Global Imports in Atlanta, Georgia, and was acquired by the seller from the original owner in 2004. The car is finished in Titanium Silver Metallic over black Nappa leather and is powered by a 3.2-liter S54 inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Features include 17″ Style 40 wheels, Koni adjustable dampers, a sunroof, heated seats, air conditioning, cruise control, and a Harman-Kardon stereo. The connecting rod bearings, oil level sensor, and oil pan gaskets were replaced in January 2021. This M Coupe has 88k miles and is now offered with service records, owner’s and service manuals, a window sticker, a Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The M Coupe was distinguished from the standard Z3 by a revised front bumper cover, wider rear bodywork, fender gills, and quad exhaust tips. The car is finished in Titanium Silver Metallic (354) and is equipped with a power sunroof, clear turn signal lenses, and tinted windows. The Carfax report notes “minor” cosmetic damage to the rear of the car in January 2021, and the rear bumper skin has been replaced. Scratches are present on the left side of the windshield, and paint protection film has been applied to the front fascia. Photos of original body panel VIN tags and the 2021 damage can be viewed in the gallery below.

Staggered-width 17″ Style 40 wheels are wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza tires. Rogue Engineering shock mounts are installed at the rear along with Koni adjustable dampers at all four corners. Braking is handled by ventilated four-wheel discs.

The interior is trimmed in black Nappa leather with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include heated sport seats, cruise control, air conditioning, power accessories, and a Harman-Kardon audio system. Delrin bushings are mounted under the driver’s seat, and the seller states that the passenger-side door lock pin spins free and a replacement actuator is included in the sale. The seller also notes the radio volume control is dysfunctional at times. A video demonstrating the windows and sunroof can be viewed here.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 170-mph speedometer and a 9k-rpm tachometer, along with gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. Auxiliary gauges are mounted in the center stack, and the digital odometer has 88k miles. Approximately 64k miles were added by the seller.

The 3.2-liter S54 inline-six is equipped with individual throttle bodies and produced 315 horsepower and 251 lb-ft of torque when new. The clutch master and clutch flex line have been replaced with stainless steel line. The connecting rod bearings, oil level sensor, metal oil drain insert, and oil pan gaskets were replaced by Lang Racing Development of Lake Forest, California in January 2021. Start-up videos can be viewed here and here.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a ZF five-speed manual transmission and a factory limited-slip differential. A narrated underside video is provided above.

The window sticker lists original delivery to Global Imports, along with factory colors, optional equipment, and a total suggested retail price of $46,135.

The Carfax report notes the aforementioned damage, lists one open recall, and shows history in Georgia, North Carolina, and California.

Driving videos can be viewed above and below, and an additional in-car clip is provided here.

It sounds like this is the same seller as late last year. I had heard it had sold, but perhaps now. Bidding up to $15,000.00 so far
