Seller Description

This 1999 BMW M Coupe is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over a grey and black leather interior, and power is provided by a 3.2-liter S52 inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes a sunroof, widened and powder-coated 17″ Style 40 M RoadStar rear wheels, Koni shocks, H&R lowering springs, heated seats, and a CD stereo. The car was first sold by Stoops BMW in Munchie, Indiana and acquired four years ago by the current owner, who has added 500 of the 58k miles. This M Coupe is offered on behalf of the current owner in Colorado with service records, factory literature, its window sticker, accessories, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Montana title in the name of the current owner’s LLC.

The exterior is finished Arctic Silver Metallic, and equipment includes a sunroof, rear wiper, and quad exhaust outlets. The current owner notes the front bumper fascia was refinished to correct rock chips, and clear paint protection film and a CarPro Cquartz ceramic coating was applied shortly after. Paint meter readings are provided in the gallery below.

M RoadStar 17″ wheels were powder-coated in charcoal, and the rear wheels have been modified and widened by 25mm. BFGoodrich g-Force Sport COMP-2 tires are mounted along with longer lug bolts, 5mm front spacers, and 10mm rear spacers. The suspension is fitted with Koni shocks, H&R springs, and a Bavarian Auto Sport strut brace.

The interior features heated and power-adjustable sport seats trimmed in grey and black Nappa leather. Equipment includes air conditioning, power accessories, M logo floor mats, and a CD stereo.

The leather-wrapped M sport steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer, along with gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer shows 58k miles, approximately 500 of which were added by the current owner.

The 3.2-liter S52 inline-six was factory rated at 240 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The current owner states the oil was most recently changed in October 2019.

Additional photos of the underside, suspension, and exhaust are viewable below.

Manufacturer’s literature is included in the sale, along with a battery tender, car cover, service records, and three keys.

The window sticker lists initial delivery to Stoops BMW of Munchie, Indiana, colors and equipment, and a total suggested retail price of $42,870.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists registration history in Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Colorado, and Montana through its most recent entry in September 2018.

Sold to a high bid of $35,500 or $37,275 with buyer fee. Wow! It sounds like it's staying in the area. If the new buyer sees this, send me an email and get on my M Coupe BBQ invite list.

I'm excited to watch this one. This was one of the M Coupe Buyers Guide Project Coupes about 4 years ago which really didn't end up being much of a project. It was incredibly clean when I got it, and you can see from the photos it remains incredibly clean. I just can't get over the photos they got of it. They are some of the best I've seen of a silver coupe. Since I had the car, the current owner has added Koni struts/shocks and H&R Springs as well as had the rear wheels widened. It's a great, subtle upgrade. Bidding up to $751 so far.
