Seller Description

This 2000 BMW M Coupe was first delivered to John Roberts BMW of Dallas, Texas, and was purchased by the seller in 2002. It is finished in Cosmos Black Metallic over Dark Beige Oregon leather and powered by a 3.2-liter S52 inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes a glass sunroof, heated sport seats, 17″ RoadStar wheels, and a Pioneer stereo with a Harman-Kardon sound system. The seller added 33k of the under 61k miles the car now has, and service in 2019 reportedly included an oil change. The seller displayed this M Coupe at the 2019 Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance. This M Coupe is now offered in Florida with a window sticker, factory literature, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Virginia title in the seller’s name.

This example is one of a claimed 516 S52-powered M Coupes produced for the North American market that were finished in Cosmos Black Metallic. Equipment includes a glass sunroof, quad exhaust outlets, flared fenders with vents up front, and a hatchback-mounted spoiler. The included Carfax report lists no accidents or other damage.

Factory 17” Style 40 RoadStar wheels wear BFGoodrich g-Force Sport tires. Equipment includes Automatic Stability Control (ASC), and cross-drilled rotors are equipped at each corner.

Heated sport seats upholstered in Dark Beige Oregon leather are joined by a color-matched dashboard, door panels, and carpeting that is protected by black M-logo floor mats. Amenities include cruise control, air conditioning, and a Pioneer Premier stereo with a Harman-Kardon sound system. The storage pocket net in the right footwell is partially unattached.

The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts chrome-ringed instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer. The digital odometer shows under 61k miles, approximately 33k of which were added by the seller over the past 18 years.

The 3.2-liter S52 inline-six produced 240 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque when new, which is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed ZF manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The seller is reported to have performed annual oil changes.

Additional underbody photos are provided in the gallery to show the condition of the suspension and drivetrain.

The included window sticker lists initial delivery to John Roberts BMW in Dallas, Texas, colors and equipment, and a total suggested retail price of $42,870.

The August 2020 Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists registration in Texas and Virginia through its most recent entry in April 2020.

It has had a long time owner which is always a big plus. It's in pretty good shape overall and mostly stock besides the audio and cross drilled brake calipers. Bidding is already up to $24,000.
