This 2002 BMW M Coupe is one of just 12 examples built for the North American market that were finished in Black Sapphire Metallic over Imola Red and Black Nappa leather, and it is powered by a 3.2-liter S54 inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Factory equipment includes Dynamic Stability Control, a glass sunroof, power-adjustable and heated seats, air conditioning, and a Harman-Kardon audio system, while modifications consist of an Eisemann exhaust system, a Dinan Stage 3 tune and mass airflow sensor, a front upper strut brace, TC Kline suspension components, an Alpine stereo, and clear paint protection film. The car was first sold at Checkered Flag Porsche/Audi of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and was also registered in Ohio prior to the seller’s acquisition in 2017. This M Coupe now has 67k miles and is offered in California with service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Montana title in the name of the seller’s LLC.
The car is finished in Black Sapphire Metallic (475) and features heated windshield washers, a glass sunroof, front fender air extractors, and an Eisemann exhaust system with quad polished outlets. VIN-stamped stickers on various body panels are shown in the gallery below, and the seller states that XPEL clear paint protection film was installed.
Factory staggered-width 17″ Style 40 wheels wear Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires measuring 225/45 up front and 245/40 out back. The car is equipped with Dynamic Stability Control, and a TC Kline coil-over suspension system with adjustable camber plates has been added along with a front strut tower brace.
The heated and power-adjustable sport seats are trimmed in Imola Red and Black Nappa leather with a matching dashboard, door panels, and center console. Equipment includes air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, Harman-Kardon audio, and an aftermarket Alpine stereo. The factory BMW Executive head unit will be included in the sale.
The two-tone leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a tachometer and a 170-mph speedometer, along with gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer shows 68k miles, of which 4k were added by the seller.
The 3.2-liter S54 inline-six was factory-rated at 315 horsepower and 251 lb-ft of torque. A Dinan Stage 3 tune and high-flow mass airflow sensor was installed, and the seller states the oil was changed and a Dinan air cleaner service was performed in November 2019 at 67,900 miles.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and an aftermarket limited-slip differential. Additional underside photos are presented in the gallery below.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists registration history in Virginia, Ohio, and Montana through the most recent entry in January 2017.
