This less than 20 year old car has become an early classic that has earned a “cult-like” following.  It is an unapologetic, engineer based design that bucked the moderate course, that is special in many ways.  By adding the permanent hard top, the attributes of the roadster were enhanced with a much stronger and more ridged chassis that made curve carving a blast to be enjoyed by real enthusiasts.  With the proven S52 M engine, the combination is a balance of power and grace.

This beautiful example is in outstanding condition mechanically and cosmetically.

Carfax shows one incident July, 2015, when a blowout caused a strike of a low median lip that damaged the rear suspension, axels, and wheels, replaced with BMW OEM parts, but had minimal impact on the body. Repairs done by BMW recommended facility. All sub-frame welds and differential housing brackets intact.  Car performs flawlessly, tracks true and stops straight.  Beautiful paint with one small scratch on RF fender.

Maintenance since May 2016 includes two new front Michelin Pilot Sport tires (matching rear tires new at 71,568).  New water pump, thermostat, housing and coolant. New belts and pulleys.  Fresh fluids.  Seat track bushings replaced plus driver’s seat tilt kit installed. Total $2,750.  No outstanding deferred maintenance.
