Notable items include recent clutch replacement, valve cover gasket replacement, compression test, VANOS tab inspection (all displaying fantastic results) and new Zimmerman rotors/OEM brake pads recently installed. Rear trunk floor spot welds and differential mount are in perfect condition with no cracks or separation whatsoever. From a driving standpoint, this coupe is the essence of what BMW engineers had in mind during the conception of this car. Jon Martin himself even had trouble realizing any significant differences in the driving experience with this coupe compared to his well known personal coupe; quite an accomplishment for a coupe with 60k additional miles. Ireland Engineering polyurethane race subframe bushings and Ground Control rear shock mounts work together with the newer Bilstein struts and Continental tires in keeping the coupe firmly planted to the road surface and handling is all the better for it. You’ll be delighted to know that the 315hp S54 engine pulls strongly throughout rev bands up to red line, while the 5 speed manual gearbox finds gear cleanly with succinct crisp movement. Clutch engagement is low and clean, and there is no slipping as the new clutch was just installed in September 2015 and has less than 3k miles on it.
All electrical and convenience items work as originally intended by BMW. Exterior lighting is fully operational as is the tilt moonroof. Interior illumination is bright and requires no replacement bulbs. Motorized seats and mirrors are easily adjustable for your convenience. Rear view mirror has been serviced/repaired by Sybesma’s to assure no auto-dimming fluid leaks in the future. Glove box shows no evidence of sag. All gauges display their intended data perfectly and there are no service lights illuminated or codes being thrown. This coupe includes the OEM Business CD43 head unit, and CD code can be found in the owners manual packet.
With 14 years under it’s belt, this M Coupe has a handful of light blemishes as you may expect. Front hood paint is in overall good condition, but does show a few pea-sized wear spots above the driver side headlight. The rear bumper cover has a small circular indention, possible evidence of a light tap into another car's license plate screw while parking. The rear driver wheel has a 3-4 inch curb scrape on the lip. These items are shown in close up detail in the attached photos.
Included with the car, you will receive 3 keys; the master, spare and valet key. You’ll also receive the owner’s manual packet with the original window sticker and a folder full of service records.
