Doug's Take
The BMW Z3 M Coupe is a seriously wonderful car that boasts excellent performance, and – most importantly – head-turning styling, combined with very interesting practicality thanks to a useful hatchback grafted onto a Z3 M Roadster. This particular M Coupe features a 5-speed manual transmission and some great factory equipment, including a limited-slip differential and a power sunroof. Plus, it comes with no major modifications, which is a great benefit that further enhances the appeal of this M Coupe.
Highlights
THIS... is a 2000 BMW Z3 M Coupe, finished in Titanium Silver Metallic with a black interior.
- This Z3 M is equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission.
- The attached Carfax history report shows no mileage discrepancies in this BMW's past; it also lists registrations in Washington from new.
- The managing editor of Cars & Bids, Kennan Rolsen, reviewed this BMW, and his video is viewable below.
- According to the build sheet provided in the gallery, factory equipment includes 17-inch Style 40 wheels, a limited-slip differential, a power sunroof, Nappa leather upholstery, heated and power-adjustable sport seats, and air conditioning.
- Modifications reported by the seller are limited to a Dinan strut tower brace, Bilstein rear struts, a Pioneer head unit, and aftermarket components in the sound system.
- Colloquially known as the Clownshoe, the Z3 Coupe joined the Z3 roadster in showrooms for 1999. Like its convertible counterpart, it used several E36-sourced parts, but it stood out with an unusual, shooting brake-like silhouette that blurred the line between a coupe and a hatchback. The M model benefitted from the same 3.2-liter straight-6 as the M3.
- Power comes from an S52 3.2-liter straight-6, rated at 240 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission.
