Seller Description

Feeler Ad / opportunity to buy before it goes in for paint!!!
Located in Medford Lakes, NJ 08055.

First I want to start with the fact that I love this coupe, it’s amazing combo, is 100% sorted mechanically, and has a 9+/10 interior. Everything front to back works as it came off the factory line or better.  I’m only putting this out here as I have found myself in a position to purchase a low mileage very rare dream color s54 coupe from the original owner and mama says I can’t have two.

I’ve worked on this car for over a year now leaving no stone unturned knowing that paint/body would eventually be in the future but was good enough for the time being as I planned to keep this as my forever coupe (this time around). Then in a unforeseen turn of events on the way to Schuh Syndicate this year 6 of us were caught in a freak snowstorm in VA on a mountain road and 4 of the group unfortunately were pelted with cinders/sand from plow trucks going both ways on the 2 lane road while following each other much too closely. The upside is that insurance is going to pay for most of a paint job, new windshield, and headlights. Silver lining~! So I thought great this works out perfectly, but now with the timing of the s54 car inbound I don’t think I’m going to be able to wait for the paint shop to get me in (long waits). So here we are thinking of offering it up to someone else who has the intent to drive as-is (at least for now) or plans to paint down the road. Car literally needs nothing but paint, windshield, couple tiny dents pulled, and the panels aligned better after paint.

I think probably about 40 coupe owners on here have seen the car since the rock chips incident and I welcome them to offer their opinions either publicly or privately to potential buyers. Separately I would think somewhere in the neighborhood of 60 coupe owners have seen the car since I’ve owned it and can feel free to weigh in here as well.

It’s a 1 of 9 combo~!
102k miles
Supercharged
Full Wildwood brakes setup
Laundry list of maintenance / upgrades
Clean/clear NJ title in my name

Full disclosure it was in an accident in 2003 at 30k miles with the original owner who over-cooked a corner, spun, then scraped up against a guard rail on passenger side. The second owner bought as-is, repaired it, repainted it (not pro level), and drove it for over 60k miles. All body panels are still original. All original glass still intact except the windshield which was replaced due to a chip in 2015.

Interior imperfections (only 3) keeping it from 9.9/10 status:
Leather on top of passenger door card at front (you know the spot) starting to come up ever so slightly.
The red triangle on left side of the steering wheel has a little rub from my left thumb (top left corner) as I like to drive spiritedly with a white knuckle grip.
There is a little scratch running horizontal on the AC button (can’t tell unless the light is on).

As I’ve said I’m an open book. Please feel free to ask any questions or voice any concerns.

This might be a great opportunity for a new coupe owner to get into a fully sorted car, that makes great power, that is reliable, doesn’t need anything mechanical or interior’wise at a great deal. You could either just respray the hood/bumper and run with it or save up and paint it down the line.

Feel free to message me for phone/email. Can do more photos of anything you want. Videos. FaceTime. Whatever.

Thanks and have a great night~!

This was one of my favorite Project Coupes I've had, and my wife and I drove it from New Hampshire back to Colorado with stops in Maine, Niagara Falls, Chicago and more. I recently got to see it again at Schuh Syndikat and RJ has complete transformed it as you can see from his modification list many of which are new since my ownership including the supercharger and big brakes. I love the color combo with the sunroof-delete. The price seems pretty great all things considered.
