Seller Description

This 1999 BMW M Coupe is one of 2,858 examples produced over a five-year production run, and it was acquired by the seller in 2007. The car is finished in Cosmos Black Metallic over black leather and powered by a 3.2-liter inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes a limited-slip differential, a roof-mounted bike rack, a front strut tower brace, tinted windows, aftermarket fog lights, a glass sunroof, heated seats, a ZHP-specification weighted shift knob, air conditioning, a Sony CD stereo, and Harman Kardon speakers. The clutch is said to have been replaced in 2015 and the engine oil, oil filter housing gasket, and throttle linkage were reportedly changed in 2021. This S52 M Coupe has 102k miles and is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, removed spare parts, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Ohio title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Cosmos Black Metallic (303) and features aftermarket fog lights, clear marker lenses, fender vents, an electric glass sunroof, tinted windows, quad exhaust outlets, and a BMW-branded roof-mounted bike rack. Noted flaws include a repaired chip in the windshield, a ding in the left door, and a scratch on the roof ahead of the sunroof. The seller states that the front bumper cover and fascia were repainted in 2020.

Staggered-width 17″ Style 40 wheels wear Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires that were reportedly installed in 2015 along with replacement wheel bearings.

The cabin features power-adjustable and heated sport seats trimmed in black leather with matching door panels and carpeting. Equipment includes an M-branded leather-wrapped steering wheel with tri-color stitching, cruise control, air conditioning, a ZHP-specification weighted shift knob, and an aftermarket Sony CD stereo linked to Harman Kardon speakers. The headliner was reportedly replaced in 2020, and the seller notes intermittent functioning of the temperature control dial as well as a passenger seatbelt that is difficult to retract.

Instrumentation ahead of the driver includes a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer, while a trio of auxiliary gauges are mounted in the center stack. The digital odometer shows 102k miles, 50k of which were added by the seller. An instrument cluster bulb is out and the right turn signal is described as sluggish.

The 3.2-liter S52 inline-six was factory rated at 240 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque when new. Work since August 2021 is said to have included an oil change and replacement of the oil filter housing gasket and throttle linkage. A front strut tower brace has been added to the engine bay.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The clutch was reportedly replaced in 2015.

The car is supplied with manufacturer’s literature, service records for work completed under current ownership, and spare parts including the removed stock stereo and shift knob.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in New Hampshire, New York, Georgia, and Ohio.

I love roof racks on coupes, but I'm not sure I'd lead with a photo with one on for an auction listing. It's in pretty good shape for 100k+ miles. The couple modification I see are audio, ZHP shift knob, LeatherZ Mark I armrest, and front strut bar. No bids posted yet.
