Seller Description

This 2000 BMW M Coupe is finished in Cosmos Black Metallic over a matching leather interior and is powered by a 3.2-liter inline six mated to a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Modifications include 17” Apex wheels, a strut tower brace, a BimmerWorld brake cooling kit, a Kenwood head unit, and a UUC shift knob and short shifter kit. The car was acquired by the seller in 2011 and was serviced in 2020 with brake fluid and coolant flushes, replacement of the tires, windshield, washer fluid pump, and air conditioning condenser, and transmission fluid, differential fluid, and oil changes. This M Coupe has 50k miles and is offered with its stock wheels, shifter, and radio as well as literature, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean New York State title in the seller’s name.

Approximately 2,858 M Coupes were produced over a five-year run, and this example is finished in Cosmos Black Metallic (303) and was optioned without a sunroof. Features include wider fenders than the contemporary Z3, M-branded fender vents, quad exhaust outlets, and track decals on the rear bumper. A replacement windshield was fitted in 2021. The car underwent bodywork following a collision with a tirewall at a track in 2013 that consisted of replacing the front bumper, headlamps, right side marker and signal lamp, hood and grille, right-front fender, and the right door mirror, and repairing the right quarter panel. Photos taken following the accident and of the service records are shown in the gallery.

Gray 17” Apex ARC-8 wheels were mounted with 245/40 Kumho Ectsa PS31 tires in 2021. A BimmerWrold brake cooling kit has been fitted along with Performance Friction 08 brake pads, a Strong-Strut strut tower brace, and Tuner Motorsports 17.5mm rear spacers. A brake fluid flush was performed in 2021. The factory 17” Style 40 wheels are included in the sale and wear an older set of Dunlop Direzza tires.

The interior houses heated seats trimmed in black leather along with matching door panels and carpeting. A Kenwood KDC-X995 head unit is wired into the center console, and a UUC shift knob and short shifter kit have been installed. Amenities include air conditioning, a Harman Kardon sound system, and BMW M-branded floor mats. The air conditioning condenser was replaced and recharged in the summer of 2020. A Kenwood head unit with USB connectivity is installed and shown in the gallery, and the factory stereo and shifter components are included in the sale.

A three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer indicates 50k miles, 25k of which were added by the seller.

The 3.2-liter S52 inline-six was rated at 240 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque when new. The radiator was replaced in 2013 following the aforementioned collision and the drive belts and accessory belts were replaced along with a coolant flush in 2020. An oil change was performed in 2021 along with replacement of the washer fluid pump and gasket, and a repair to a leak in the washer fluid reservoir.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The transmission and differential fluids are said to have been changed in 2020, and additional underside images are presented in the gallery.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or damage and lists history in New York, California, and Ohio.

It has been over 10 years since we last saw this coupe. It has had both some good maintenance as well as good upgrades added. The accident on track is a bummer but appears to have been fixed pretty well. It as also over 8 years ago. No bids yet.
