A total of 678 examples produced for North America were equipped with the S54 engine from the E46 M3, and only 120 were reportedly finished in Black Sapphire Metallic. This M Coupe is finished in Black Sapphire Metallic (475) with high-gloss Shadowline black exterior trim, a glass sunroof, and a roof-mounted antenna. The M Coupe can be differentiated from a standard Z3 by its revised front bumper, widened rear fenders, rounded side mirrors, side air vents, and signature M-Power quad exhaust tips.
