This 2002 BMW M Coupe is finished in Imola Red over a black and red Nappa leather interior and has less than 4,500 miles. It is one the 340 M Coupes produced in 2002, and one of only 41 to leave the factory finished in this color combination. It is a lifetime California car, and the seller has added just 200 miles since acquiring it from the original owner 12 years ago. Power is provided by an S54 3.2-liter inline-six paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, and although few miles have been driven over the past 12 years, oil changes have been performed by the seller annually. This S54 M Coupe is now offered with a clean Carfax report and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
Wide Imola Red bodywork is accented with fender vents, quadruple exhaust tips, and M badges. A few stone chips on the nose have been touched up with a paint pen, and no prior-accidents or damage are shown on the included Carfax report. The car has reportedly been garage kept and only driven during dry weather for the past 12 years.
Staggered-width 17″ Style 40 wheels wear the original Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Close-up of the wheels and wheel wells have been provided in the gallery below.
Of the 67 Imola Red S54-powered M Coupes produced, 41 came with an interior trimmed in black and red Nappa leather (Q6IM). A 6-disc CD changer and Harman Kardon audio system came equipped from the factory and remain installed. Around 4,454 miles shown are shown on the odometer.
The 3.2-liter S54 inline-six is equipped with Double VANOS variable valve timing and produced a factory rating of 315 horsepower. Shifting is through a ZF 5-speed manual transmission.
