This 2000 BMW M Coupe is one of 16 optioned without a sunroof and finished in Cosmos Black Metallic over black Nappa leather for the North American market for the model year. The car is powered by a 3.2-liter S52 inline-six linked with a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential, and additional features include silver-finished 17″ Style 40 wheels, Bilstein struts, a Super Sprint exhaust system, heated sport seats, a CD stereo, a Harman Kardon sound system, air conditioning, and cruise control. This M Coupe has 83k miles and was purchased by the seller in October 2015, and it is now offered with the owner’s manual, spare parts, a Peake Research scan tool, a Bentley Publishers service manual, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Oregon title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Cosmos Black Metallic and was optioned without a sunroof. Features include front fender vents, a rear window wiper, and quad exhaust outlets. The front bumper cover has been refinished, and the right rocker panel was replaced under current ownership. Paint blemishes are shown in detail in the gallery.
Silver-finished 17″ Style 40 wheels have been refinished and are mounted with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires that show date codes from 2012. The car has been fitted with Bilstein struts, and braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs.
Black Nappa leather covers the heated sport seats, door panel inserts, and center console. Amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, an aftermarket alarm system, a CD stereo, and a Harman Kardon sound system. Delrin seat bushings are said to have been installed, and the rearview mirror was rebuilt under current ownership. The seat bolsters show signs of wear.
The M-branded leather-wrapped steering wheel features tri-color stitching and frames a tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline, a 160-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. An analog clock and auxiliary voltage and oil temperature gauges are installed in the center stack. The clock does not keep accurate time. The digital odometer indicates 83k miles, approximately 3k miles of which were added under current ownership.
The 3.2-liter S52B32 inline-six features VANOS variable valve timing and was factory-rated at 240 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque. A Super Sprint exhaust system has been installed. The radiator, radiator hoses, thermostat, air conditioning belt, and tensioner pulley were replaced, and a metal thermostat housing was installed under current ownership. A fuse for the SRS system was replaced in December 2024. The silver finish on the valve cover shows signs of wear. A replacement water pump with a metal impeller is included in the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a ZF five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. A May 2003 entry in the Carfax report states that the transmission was replaced.
The Carfax report is free of accidents or other damage.
