Seller Description

It's time to let someone else enjoy one of the most fun BMWs ever made!

This is a rare 2001-2002/S54 in what is arguably the signature trim for M-Coupes. 678 S54 M-Coupes were produced and only 51 like this one.

What makes this particular M-Coupe especially unique is the upgraded engine. The original S54s had a quality issue with the connecting rod bearing and were recalled in the M3s, but only replaced in M-Coupes if they failed. The original owner replaced the engine around 45k miles and it has run great ever since.

As the third owner, this was my daily driver for a few years and has spent the bulk of the last 5 years covered in the garage. Both previous owners had the same basic story. This is a car that has been enjoyed but not pushed.

There are a few dings here and there from general usage, but nothing significant. All VINS match except for the engine (of course) and the hood. The hood was replaced after an animal dented it.

I could gush about this car for hours. If you're looking for one, I'm sure you can to. Instead, I'll just simply riff on BMW's old line: The M-Coupe is the Ultimate FUN Driving Machine.

And, in case you need some more to help convince you that this should be your next car:

Price reduced to $54,500 from $63,500 which seems alright

The replaced engine to take care of the rod bearing issue is a nice plus. It otherwise appears to be stock aside from the OEM clear front bumper lights. The price may be a little optimistic for the mileage though.
