Myself, the fourth owner has only had it since March, just adding a few thousand miles. While I purchased my dream car, I realized I would rather have a project car.
The car runs and drives beautifully with full maintenance just done along with lots of other upgrades.
The second owner sold the car to a BMW technician and shop owner who specializes in fast BMWs, Munich Motorworks. This car was garage kept and I have the maintenance records from new. It is in terrific condition, was originally owned by the Kuni family in Portland (BMW Dealer).
The M Coupe went to the shop after sitting for many years as it needed the rear subframe repaired. At this time a full repair and update was done.
Munich Motorworks installed a Randy Forbes Reinforcement Kit including the E36 Differential Cover which has two mounts instead of the stock single attachment point. This is a huge job requiring the removal of the rear subframe and rear interior. The rear end of this car will now support any power you want to throw at it.

The underside of the car was thoroughly cleaned during this work.
The suspension is now almost completely new, and it drives perfectly. The sticker price for this work was over $15,000.
While the suspension has been updated and refreshed the car is otherwise stock.
Full maintenance service includes fresh engine, transmission and differential oils, brake fluid.
The car was fully detailed including removing the seats for full carpet cleaning, underbody and wheel well cleaning, trim-off paint polishing, and leather treatment. It is super clean and looking great.
