Seller Description

This 1999 BMW M Coupe is one of 2,858 examples produced over a five-year production run, and is finished in Arctic Silver over black Nappa leather. Power comes from a 3.2-liter S52 inline-six mated to a five-speed manual transmission and limited-slip differential, and additional equipment includes staggered 17″ wheels, disc brakes, a sunroof, heated seats, Harman Kardon audio, cruise control, and air conditioning. The car spent time on the East Coast before making its way to Oregon, where it was acquired by the selling dealer in January 2021. The car has since been serviced with replacement front struts, rear shocks, a power-steering line, powertrain mounts, and a driveshaft guibo. This S52 M Coupe shows 82k miles and is offered at no reserve in California with manufacturer’s literature, tools, recent service records, a car cover, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Oregon title.

The car is finished in Arktissilber-Metallic (309) and features a sunroof, tinted glass, fender vents, side skirts, and quad exhaust outlets. The selling dealer notes evidence of prior paintwork on the passenger-side door and rear quarter panel. Paint meter reading from various panels are pictured in the gallery below.

Staggered-width 17″ Style 40 wheels are mounted with 225/45 front and 245/40 rear Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport tires that show 2012 date codes. Imperfections are noted on the outer lip of two of the wheels, and each corner utilizes disc brakes with cross-drilled rotors. In June 2020 the front struts and strut mounts were replaced along with the rear shocks and shock mounts. A power-steering line was also replaced at that time, and the system was bled.

The interior features manually-adjustable heated seats trimmed in black Nappa leather with a matching dash, door panels, and carpeting. Amenities include a BMW Business CD stereo, Harman Kardon audio, air conditioning, and cruise control. The seller notes wear on the driver-side bolsters, scuffs in the cabin, and sagging headliner material.

An M Sport steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges supplemented by a three-gauge cluster in the center stack. Warning labels remain affixed to the main gauge screen, and the digital odometer shows 82k miles. Approximately 2,500 miles have been added by the selling dealer since January 2021.

The 3.2-liter S52 inline-six was factory-rated at 240 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque. Work in 2020 included replacing the engine and transmission mounts, and the oil was changed in January 2021. The driveshaft flex disc and a shifter seal were replaced the following month.

Power is delivered to the wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery.

Manufacturer’s literature, a sunshade, and a car cover will accompany the vehicle.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists activity in New York, Florida, Virginia, Washington D.C., Ohio, Michigan, Oregon, and California.

We have seen this coupe on the market quite a few times over the years most recently this January. The mileage has stayed pretty reasonable though. The only modification I see is still the OEM Euro clear bumper lights. Bidding up to $15,000.00 so far
