I am sure that I am going to regret this, but the time has come to sell my beloved Clownshoe. This is the best car that I've ever owned. I purchased it back in May 2012, and have put approximately 20K miles on it since. Work performed during my ownership includes:
-Cooling system overhaul (including a new S54 radiator) at 100K miles
-New belts, pulleys, tensioners at 100K
-Valve cover gaskets and spark plugs at 100K
-Refinished the wheels
-Full repaint in the original color 4 years ago to correct some paint issues (no accident damage)
-New floormats and badges
-Custom cloth car cover
-ZHP weighted short shift knob
-Annual oil changes regardless of mileage. (didn't even reach 3k most years)
Does need a few items in order to be perfect:
-Seat bushings are worn (have replacement hard nylon ones to be included in the sale)
-Transmission sometimes grinds a bit when aggressively upshifting into 3rd. It's always been that way since I've owned it. You learn to live with it.
-The three chrome-ringed gauges in front of the shifter don't always read correctly - suspect a loose ground somewhere.
-Radio is currently locked out. Pulled the battery when I put it in winter storage last year, and lost the code in the meantime. There are websites that can give you a new code based on the serial number.
No dreamers, no lowballers, no tire kickers. Don't waste my time and I won't waste yours.
