Seller Description

I am selling my rare and beautiful 2000 BMW M-Z-Coupe, in Silver over Black leather interior. They only made this car for a few years and production was very low.  They are highly sought after by collectors and driving enthusiasts as they make fantastic track cars.  Mine only has 84k miles, low for the year and comparables anywhere near this price. It is equipped with the stock M3 3.2L I-6 motor with 5 speed manual transmission producing about 250hp. It starts right up, revs smoothly, and is very quick.

The car has to be sold now because the snow is falling and I need a Jeep for daily driving. Other than occasional use, this car has sat in my garage without being driven much or enjoyed to its full potential. The car runs super strong and shifts smoothly. It comes with a clean Colorado title in my name, no liens. Prior to my ownership, it was involved in a collision on the right rear quarter panel. It came standard with a host of options including Bilstein sport suspension, heated seats, and the optional power moon roof.  The AC blows cold, there are no leaks from underneath the car of any kind, the interior including carpets, dashboard, door panels, and leather seats are in great condition reflecting the lower mileage, and paint has a nice shine. Maintenance is up to date, but will need oil changed soon (2 bars remain on service indicator). Wheels are in nice shape, few edge nicks and some normal wear; rear tires are in ok shape, fronts are about 20-25% worn.

There have only been two modifications to the car: addition of a Viper alarm and remote fob for locking/unlocking the car doors, kind of nice to have; and dark window tint, again, nice to have and since the car was in TX and CO the whole time, keeps you cooler in the sun.  Otherwise, the car is completely stock including the factory stereo and to the best I can tell, under the hood there have been no modifications added. The car does has a few flaws as with any pre-owned vehicle - the interior dashboard and console lights do not illuminate (recent issue, unsure of cause); 2 paint blemishes/scratches, one on the rear hatch above the BMW emblem which is about 2 inches long and another on the left side door below the mirror, both have been touched up; the passenger door has to be closed a bit harder, (maybe a bad door latch or something?), and there is a small air leak because the window regulator does not work properly to make a complete seal with the door (when you open the passenger door, window does not go down 1/4 inch like it does on the driver's side, otherwise the power window does go up and down properly); the rear hatch retractable cover does not recoil and is slightly damaged on one side; and there is a crack along the right side of the windshield.

Other than that, this is a beautiful car that gets much attention but needs to find a new home. The car is fully detailed inside and out and ready to drive or put directly in storage until Springtime rolls around. I am glad to assist you in shipping the vehicle anywhere in the US. Anything else needed, please feel free to ask.

Low opening bid to get the auction started and a low reserve will buy the car, so bid to win.  I am happy to consider a Buy It Now during the auction, just send me a message and we can discuss. For this reason, I reserve the right to end the auction early, at any time.

Please note the car has been relisted due to non-paying bidder. For the purposes of arranging shipping, the car is located with a family friend in Indianapolis, IN. Please have your finances and any arrangements needed in order before you place a bid. I have already purchased a new vehicle for winter driving and this fun, extra car needs to be sold now. Accordingly, it priced well below market, thanks.

My Comments

Sold 1/12/13 - Sold to a high bid of just $9,100. Someone got a deal.

1/11/13 Update - Reserve met at just $9,000. I wish I would have been able to look at it in person.

1/11/13 Update - Buy-it-now price reduced to $11,900 from $12,500

1/5/13 Update - Sale must have fallen through again. Back on Ebay with much better photos and description. Price now up to $12,500 from $10,950 though.

Sold 12/22/12 - This time it sold to a high bid of $10,950

12/15/12 Update - Sale must have fallen through as it's back on Ebay with a starting price of $10,950

Sold 12/9/12 - Sold to a high bid of $11,211.11 which seems like a pretty decent deal.

12/2/12 Update - I was in the area and tried to check it out yesterday, but the seller cancelled on me...

11/29/12 Update - Now on Ebay at $11,000 and no reserve. It's interesting that AutoCheck shows the accident earlier this year but not that it was a total loss like Carfax says. Added a few new photos too.

11/20/12 Update - Price reduced to $13,000 from $14,000

11/14/12 Update - Added a Carfax report showing it was a total loss this March due to a right rear impact. Not as good of deal now, but I still think the price is fair based on the photos anyway. It's interesting that he mentions he has a clean title for it; I wonder if it's a rebuilt title.

10/22/12 Update - Price reduced to $14,000 from $15,000. Somone local buy it!

Why don't I know this person and why wasn't he at my bbq? :-)  It looks nice for the mileage and all stock as far as I can tell. It's a great price for clean titled coupe.
