This shoe is black exterior with black and red interior. Original paint is still bright and shiny with no swirl marks. There are some stone chips and some scuffs, as expected from a car this age. Leather is still supple and soft with no tears. This car is the super rare sunroof delete (makes the chassis more rigid).
First owned by an oil executive in Alberta, where this Canadian car lived most of it's life, then by a doctor in Toronto. Absolutely no rust anywhere.
In the last year, the suspension was upgraded to two way adjustable TCKline, with Koni Yellows. It is a Dinan registered vehicle with stage 3 (throttle body, software, front tower brace and cold intake) installed by Dinan approved Bud's BMW in Oakville. All fluids were also replaced and stainless steel clutch cable installed (improves shifting precision). Main headlight lenses were internally discolored so instead of getting cheap angel eyes, the original lights were carefully dismantled and replaced with HID lamps.
Easily converted back to stock as all replaced parts were saved.
Sub-frame rock solid.
Few things wrong with the car include the clock, which stopped working around six months ago, rear view mirror leaked fluid (common to happen in these cars), and some paint flaked away on a center panel that houses the power mirror switches. A new OEM panel comes with the car, which is now hard to source. It was intended to replace the panel this winter and fix the clock at the same time.
Awesome analog car that handles like a dream. Engine runs like new. These S52 engines were renowned for their longevity.
I have had many sport cars including 4 Porsches but this car turns heads more than any of them. A unique part of history that will only go up in value with time.
