Previous Listing:
1999 M Coupe. Silver exterior, blue/black interior, 120,000 miles, needs some sorting, could be a great project car, 1 accident on title.

The car has been my daily driver for 65,000 miles. It's a blast to drive but it needs some love at this point and I don't have the skills to do the work myself.

In the interest of fair disclosure, these are the areas where this car needs TLC:

  • Shifter bushings need to be replaced -- shifting action is sloppy
  • Oil temp sending unit needs to be replaced -- temp reading is flakey
  • Electric door locks operate inconsistently -- they always work but unlocking the passenger door doesn't unlock the driver door anymore -- sometimes turning the ignition key unlocks both doors before the car starts
  • Remote lock/unlock works but after a few hours the capacitor leaks its charge and the alarm goes off
  • Acceleration falters when engine is cold
  • Both seats slide half an inch under acceleration and braking -- bushing needs to be replaced -- I have the repair kit
  • Glove box sags (see image) -- I have the repair kit
  • Right front marker light is missing a clip on one side so it doesn't stay in place
  • Center console is cracked at top (see image)
  • A/C button is cracked (see image)
  • Driver side rear fender has dent on front lip (see image) and discoloration at top
  • Driver side rear wheel has scrape
  • Air dam is rough from bumping curbs when parking (see images)

Recent maintenance:

  • New spark plugs
  • 2 new oxygen sensors
  • New rotors and brakes

It's a project no longer. Pretty much all the things needing attention have been taken care of. It looks much better now.

Off the market for now

This would make a great project coupe for somebody. It has a lot of projects, but the it's great the seller is open about what it needs. It's a reliatvely rare color combo too. The price is pretty good.
