2001 BMW M Coupe in Black Sapphire Metallic over Black Nappa
  • Exterior Color Black Sapphire Metallic
  • Interior Color Black Nappa
  • Engine S54

Seller Description

This 2001 BMW M Coupe has 75k miles from new and is equipped with the more powerful S54 engine from the contemporary E46 M3. Only 678 S54 equipped M Coupes were sold in the US between 2001 and 2002 and this car is one of only 39 black on black examples produced in 2001. Formerly sold by Enthusiast Auto Group in 2012, the car was purchased by the current seller in 2015 and is being sold due to an upcoming move. This M Coupe is in good cosmetic and mechanical condition with no aftermarket modifications, and the 315 HP S54 engine provides a meaningful increase in performance over the more common S52 equipped examples.

The exterior is in good unmodified condition with Black Sapphire Metallic paint in good condition. The Autocheck report shows two minor accidents in the past and the seller believes that the front and rear bumpers were repainted due to these incidents. All body panels are straight with even panel gaps and there was no frame damage or airbag deployment. The only external modification is a rear diffuser, which is attached with 3M tape and can be easily removed.

The all black leather interior is in good condition, and looks good compared to the bright colored interiors common in this model.

Notable options include a sunroof, Harman Kardon premium audio system with CD player, heated seats, rear cargo cover, and cargo screen.

The odometer shows under 75k miles and is confirmed accurate by the Autocheck report.

The 315HP inline 6 cylinder S54 engine makes good power and the 5-speed manual transmission shifts smoothly. The car was recently serviced and is believed to have had frequent maintenance in the past, though no older records are available.

The subframe and differential mount is solid with no torn welds, buckled metal, rust, or other damage.

The undercarriage is solid and free of major corrosion, with original BMW branded exhaust components in good condition.

An Autocheck vehicle history report can be viewed in the gallery below. Good colors, options and no questionable modifications make this an attractive driver.

Now on Craigslist as well. Being a former Enthusiast Auto coupe is a big plus.

Only posted on Facebook so far. All stock besides the Neverdone rear diffuser which is removable. It looks like the rear ///M badge was replaced at some point as it's higher than usual for an S54.
