Seller Description

For sale is my 1999 BMW M Coupe. Manual transmission, 240 hp S52 engine. The color is estoril blue with a black leather interior and the total mileage is at 97XXX. This is a repost from several months back. I have the clean title and a new smog certificate in hand, ready to move onto a new owner. I am not holding any info back - below is all I know about the vehicle (more than most sellers are willing to provide). You're welcome to pay for a PPI but I request the shop to be on the Westside.

Car History
I am actually the 3rd owner of this car, although the 2nd owner only owned it briefly. I obtained it on August 2011 and have put on approximately 19,000 gentle miles since then. It has never been tracked. This car was sold originally in Chicago, IL to the first owner who put most of the miles on the car. It switched hands between two dealerships through the 2nd buyer, who I actually spoke with briefly. He had no problems with the vehicle and only sold the car quickly back to another dealer through a trade-in deal for a Porsche. A CarFax will show that the vehicle had an incident with a guard rail in 2004 (very vague description). As such, I had the car independently checked by a mechanic before purchasing who noted no issues. There are no subframe issues either with this vehicle.

Maintenance
The car has received regular maintenance with paperwork to prove. Most recent service (last week) includes new O2 sensors, oil change, and spark plugs. Just put in a new battery. Brake, differential, transmission and radiator fluids have all been replaced recently, along with regular oil changes. I have also replaced the valve cover gasket, guibo, radiator hoses, pulleys, drive belts, and belt tensioner assemblies, and brake pads since purchase. The car's airbag light recently turned on. My mechanic ran a diagnostic and noted it was the driver's side seatbelt tensioner (not an airbag issue), but I declined replacement. Up to you if you want to replace it or reset the light.

Car Condition
The paint is in great shape and the interior leather is too. The car came with some nice upgrades including bilstein shocks, an intake, a kenwood head unit, built-in Bluetooth microphone (below mirror), as well as a built-in radar detector in the mirror. I replaced all the M badges when I received the car as well as new car mats. Unfortunately, there is a small chip on the rear driver bumper (parking lot hit & run) not too long ago. The pictures shows an old registration sticker because it is in non-operating status with the DMV, but I take it for a spin regularly to run the fluids.

Back on the market with the price reduced to $16,800 from $17,900 which is a pretty good deal these days.

Looks even better than it did a couple years ago and has some good recent maintenance. The couple issuse are pretty easy fixes. I think the price is fair.
