Seller Description

Two owner car I purchased in March of 2002 from Bill Jacobs BMW Naperville, IL with 29,223 miles on it as a Certified Pre Owned car. Odometer now reads 77,152. The car spent the last 8 years stored inside but not driven. It recently spent a week at German Auto Service in Grand Rapids MI where the old fuel and oil were drained and replaced. The car was fired up again, taken for a couple of test drives, and given a thorough inspection. Car starts easily and runs smoothly but needs a good once over. All the remaining fluids should be changed, there is a small power steering leak from one of the hoses. Tires need to be replaced. The check engine light is not on. The 28 page write up they gave me is available upon request.

This car does have a sunroof and the body is not perfect. There are a few chips in the hood, a small crease in the driver's door, a few scuff marks from close encounters with auto cross cones, and the rear passenger side fender is dented in a little, see the pictures. The center consol oil temp gauge does work if you push up on the bottom of it. The car comes with the wheels shown. I do not have the original wheels anymore. I do not have any of the original interior parts.

Over the many years of ownership I slowly turned this car from a daily driver to an autocross/track day car. Interior trim has been largely removed, only parts left are the dash and headliner. No carpet or sound deading, no radio, A/C, door panels ect. Single piece seats on sliders with 6 point harnesses have been installed. A 4 point rollbar has been installed as well. Upgrades, updates include (I may have missed a few along the way):

TC Kline double adjustable coilovers
TC Kline adjustable front camber plates
Rear camber adjusters
Shark injector
Strong Strut Front strut tower bar
K&N cone air filter
Lower front cross brace
Larger front sway bar, rear sway bar has been removed
Aftermarket exhaust
Mechanical fan removed, electric fan installed
JB Racing Lightweight flywheel
M50 intake manifold
S54 engine oil cooler
Replaced transmission shift pins
Rebuild rear diff
Brand new set of Power Slot rotors included (front and rear)
Peake scan tool included
Cooling ducks, hoses, and backing plates for front brakes
Ireland Engineering Urethane engine mounts
Ireland Engineering Urethane rear trailing arm bushings
Ireland Engineering Urethane rear subframe mounts
Stainless steel clutch line
Stainless steel brake lines
Delrin offset control arm bushings
Oil pump nut has been wire tied
Oil pan baffle installed
BMW car cover
A pillar gauges
Custom shift knob
Tinted windows
Rear wiper delete
Folder of maintenance records and parts receipts
Many spare parts including brake pads, lug bolts, a/c fan and condenser, original intake, ect

The car is not currently registered or insured and is on 20 year old tires so test drives will be limited to slow cruze around the neighborhood to show that the car starts and moves on its own with no issues.

$18,000k OBO, no trades.

It's awesome that it's had a long-term owner. It has lots of good upgrades  highlighted by TC Kline DA coilovers, Stront Strut front bar, rear camber adjusters, and an M50 manifold. It will need lots of interior parts though and none of the original are available. Some are going to be pretty tough to find. If you have a spare interior around, this could be a good deal. As-is, the price seems fair.
