Seller Description

1999 BMW M Coupe Silver with black and grey leather and trim. It has about 120,000 miles. Limited number of these cars were brought into the US. This has the S52 engine, a 3.2 litre inline 6 cyl, with 240 hp. This car is in good shape, there's not a single dent on it. This car had been babied and very well taken care of. The car runs phenomenal, I am only the second owner and I've never had anything break down on it, not a single mechanical problem with the engine at all, oil is always changed every 5k miles, and only synthetic oil has been used. The car has power everything with moon roof and heated seats w/ factory radio and CD changer. Comes with 2 sets of keys, factory tool kit, and M floor mats. Everything is stock except for the 18" E46 M3 wheels, shift knob and single adjustable Koni shocks.

Issues with the car:
- Window regulators are getting weak.
- Normal wear on the driver seat bolster
- Sticky fifth gear when cold (Common BMW issue with a simple fix, but requires removal of transmission. Shifts through the gears fine, the sticky fifth just makes it difficult to find the 3rd gear gate when cold. Once warmed up, the transmission shifts easily.)
- The car has been in an accident where the front and rear bumpers, and the hood had to be replaced. The work was all done at Weatherford BMW's body shop.

My Comments

Sold 1/15/11 - Forum listing says sold. Congrats to the new owner!

This seems like a nice car for the money. It does have an accident history, but a coupe with this mileage isn't going to be a collector. The current owner is a member of the Bay Area Autocross Forum, so it must drive well. It sounds like it's been well taken care of. His modifications are nice, although I'm not a fan of the M3 wheels on M Coupes.
