Seller Description

1999 Z3M Coupe - 3rd Owner
Salvage Title ~160k miles
Boston Green on a tan interior
Slick Top S52 car
One of 2 or 3 cars in this configuration according to Mcoupebuyersguide.

Car was originally salvaged in 2001 with 30k miles. I have paperwork ranging from today to then in hand and the car has done 130k miles since being salvaged with no frame issues or anything like that.

Car runs very smooth. Engine oil is Liqui Moly 5w30 bi-annually as I don't put on enough miles to do it on a mileage interval. Clutch is organic and smooth with lots of life. Trans shifts gears smoothly as well with no grinding or popouts, and there's no issues with any clunking from the diff or anything like that. The finned diff cover all the 3-series guys love to steal is still there.

Subframe reinforcement has been done ($5,585.53) by the previous owner, but the car sees no track use. The entire cooling system has been gone through in my ownership as the radiator developed a crack and I decided to do everything preventatively. Upgrades are done where possible; metal impeller, aluminum thermostat housing, aluminum pulleys, etc.

Car has had a full respray in the original color with german clearcoat and it's done right and professionally, not a bondo car no rust nothing funny. It's very well done and the paint is like glass.

Wheels are original style 40s with the centers painted in the OEM silver (took forever to find) and the lips are polished. Tires are RE-71s with about 60/70% tread-life left. One rear tire has a patch due to a nail.

Has a MagnaFlow catback exhaust the previous owner fitted. Car passes smog despite the exhaust. Creates some drone around 85mph.

Headlights are aftermarket that were fitted after the respray. Still have the originals with fogged lenses and can throw those in. I also have full black interior as a spare as well as a bunch of extra stuff lying around for it like those 993-style flare guards.

I’ll update this ad at a later date with higher quality pictures and more accurate and precise information. Until then feel free to message and ask questions.

Cons: Some small interior bits which are not M-Specific are missing.

Open to some trades - Z06s preferably C6, 911s 996 or 997s, CLS or S Class AMGs - No Japanese Cars.

The paint does look great now. It was pretty rough last time we saw it. The interior is still interesting and custom. I don't mind it, but wish whoever did it way back when would have done black carpet. It's also had a lot of recent maintenance, and the seller seems very straightforward which is what you want with a salvage title. I think it would make a great driver.
