Seller Description

This 1999 BMW M Coupe was sold new in Alabama and remained registered in that state through the seller’s acquisition in 2020, and it now has 75k miles. The car is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over gray and black Nappa leather and is powered by a 3.2-liter inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, 17″ BBS wheels, a sunroof, air conditioning, cruise control, power-adjustable and heated sport seats, and a Kenwood CD stereo. This M Coupe is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, partial service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Alabama title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic (309) and features fender vents, clear side marker lenses, a glass sunroof, quad exhaust outlets, and a rear wiper. The rear hatch struts were replaced in 2020. The door handle gaskets show cracking, and other flaws including rock chips on the front end and a chip in the windshield are shown up close in the image gallery below.

BBS RK005 17″ wheels are wrapped in Yokohama ES 100 rubber up front and Yokohama Advan Sport A/S+ tires out back, the latter of which were mounted in June 2020. Stopping power is provided by vented disc brakes with vacuum-assisted ABS.

The cabin features heated and power-adjustable sport seats trimmed in gray and black Nappa leather, along with matching door panels and silver accents. Amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, power-adjustable mirrors, M3-branded floor mats, a rear luggage cover, and a Kenwood head unit linked with a trunk-mounted CD changer. The headliner was replaced in January 2022, and new shifter bushings were installed the following month. Interior flaws including a missing airbag tag on the driver’s door panel are documented in the gallery.

The leather-wrapped M steering wheel features tri-color stitching and frames a 160-mph speedometer, an M-branded tachometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer indicates 75k miles, approximately 1,500 of which were added by the seller.

The DOHC 3.2-liter S52 inline-six features VANOS variable valve timing and was rated at 240 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque when new. The drive belts were replaced in May 2020.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Additional photos of the underside are viewable in the gallery.

Manufacturer’s literature and service records from current ownership accompany the car and can be viewed in additional photos in the gallery.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Alabama from new.

The Carfax is clean and shows two long time owners and the most recent owner. The BBS RKs are kind of fun and period correct. It seems to need lots of little odds and ends but is in decent shape overall. Bidding up to $23,000.00 so far.
