Seller Description

This 2000 BMW M Coupe is finished in Dakar Yellow over black leather upholstery and is powered by a 3.2-liter S52 inline-six mated to a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes staggered-width 17″ wheels, Automatic Stability Control, heated front seats, power windows, air conditioning, and a BMW Business CD stereo. The car spent time in several states before being acquired by the selling dealer in September 2021, and it now shows 70k miles. This M Coupe is offered with manufacturer’s literature, a tool kit, aluminum pedal covers, a Carfax report, and a clean Texas title.

This example is said to be one of 51 M Coupes finished in Dakar Yellow, 14 of which were built without a sunroof. Features include M-branded fender vents, front fog lights, body-color side mirrors, and quad tailpipes. The Carfax report lists an accident in May 2021 which resulted in “minor damage” to the front and left-front of the car.

Polished 17″ Style 40 wheels are mounted with 225/45 front and 245/40 rear BFGoodrich G-Force Sport tires that show 2012 date codes. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes, and the calipers have been painted yellow. Pitting on the finish of the wheels can be seen in the gallery below.

The cabin features heated seats upholstered in black leather with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include an M-branded shift knob, floor mats, and sill plates as well as a BMW Business CD stereo, cruise control, air conditioning, power windows, and a Harman-Kardon sound system.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 7k-rpm redline, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. Auxiliary instrumentation located in the center stack includes an analog clock and gauges for voltage and oil temperature. The digital odometer indicates 70k miles.

The 3.2-liter S52 inline-six was factory rated at 240 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.

The Carfax report shows the aforementioned accident from May 2021 and lists history in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Texas.

Sold to a high bid of $28,250 or $29,663 with buyer fee. It might be one of the first decent deals of the last few months.

The photos are worlds better than last time we saw it in 2015. It has just 3k new mieles and also still has the chrome roadstars and factory fog lights. It's in pretty nice, stock condition though the minor accident this year is a bummer. I love the look without a sunroof on dakar yellow. Bidding up to $5,500.00 so far.
