This 2000 BMW M Coupe is finished in Cosmos Black over black leather and powered by a 3.2-liter S52 inline-six mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and a factory limited-slip differential. The car was sold new in Minnesota, where it remained through 2016, and the seller purchased it in California in 2017. Features include an ECIS cold air intake, a Dinan exhaust, Koni Sport adjustable dampers, and H&R sport springs, and recent work has included a brake fluid flush, a power steering fluid flush, and new front tires. This M Coupe is now offered at no reserve with factory literature, service records, a recent pre-purchase inspection, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Cosmos Black and was previously fitted with a matte gray wrap from April 2017 through April 2019, when the left rear quarter was struck by debris on the highway. The wrap was subsequently removed, damaging the finish on the hood. Both areas were repaired and refinished by ExotiCar in Los Angeles. Photos showing the damage and the wrap are provided in the gallery below.
Suspension modifications include Koni Sport adjustable dampers, H&R sport springs, Rogue shock mounts, Ireland Engineering green urethane subframe bushings, and Powerflex urethane rear trailing arm bushings. A record noting repair to the differential mount is provided in the gallery below. The car is also fitted with Stoptech slotted brake rotors, Coolcarbon brake pads, and stainless steel brake lines. New 225/45 Nitto Motivo tires were fitted up front in preparation for sale, and the rear 245/40 Nitto tires show 2013 date codes.
Black Nappa leather covers the heated seats, and the interior features color-matching carpets and plastics. The car retains a factory BMW CD player, shifter, and steering wheel with tri-color BMW Motorsport stitching.
Instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, fuel gauge, and temperature gauge in the main cluster, with three auxiliary gauges mounted in the center stack. 63k miles are shown on the digital odometer, approximately 3k of which were added by the seller.
The 3.2-liter S52 inline-six was factory-rated at 240 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed ZF manual gearbox and factory limited-slip differential. Modifications include a Stewart water pump, a Rogue Engineering stainless steel clutch line, ECIS cold air intake with heat shield, and a Dinan dual-outlet exhaust. The factory intake and mufflers are shown in the gallery.
Attached invoices show that the car received a new transmission selector rod seal, accessory belts, belt tensioners, and a new alternator in 2017. In preparation for sale the seller had a pre-purchase inspection performed, the results of which are shown in the gallery below. Subsequent work included a replacement brake light switch, a power steering fluid flush, and a brake fluid flush.
Factory literature is included in a leather-bound portfolio with zipper closure, as are a pair of factory keys.
The Carfax report shows ownership in Minnesota and California, and does not note any accidents or other damage.
