for sale is my beloved Z3M coupe. this was a unicorn car for me growing up. Ive had several M roadsters but this is my first and only Z3 M coupe. since then I have been blessed enough to have had a Z4 M coupe and several other exotics but still hung on to this guy till now.
2000 BMW M coupe AKA Clownshoe. 75K miles. The car has a clean Illinois title but the carfax indicates that the car has a previous history of a total loss which after several inspections doesn't makes sense. All the panels on the car have matching VIN tags except for the hood. Both fenders are still original as well as the radiator support (pics included). The car drivers straight with zero alignment issues. I had the alignment done after doing the tires and suspension and it is perfect. The car is equipped with Supersprint exhaust, new brakes (have some rust from sitting for 3 years), new tires, new Bilsteins at all 4 corners, new fan clutch, wheels freshly powder coated shadow chrome, new headliner. the car has a custom stereo with subwoofer that has been done very tastefully and sounds very impressive. aftermarket keyless entry system. The car does have a sunroof, power heated seats. Heating and AC work great. the subframe was inspected and a hardly noticeable hairline crack was discovered ( I couldn't see it but I had the shop put a weld on it anyway just to be proactive) the car has spent its entire life in Texas until i moved to illinois about 1.5 years ago. it has never seen snow or salt.
it does have a few of the notorious E36 Gremlins.. wipers are currently only working on high speed which will require a wiper module from what I have read. the drivers side window has intermittent issues, I have been advised that is could be a comfort relay. sometimes both items work normally.
The car is a blast to drive! I still take it to car shows and it gets a ton of attention but has to rival against my Ferrari 355 Manual or 360 manual so it doesnt get the love it should. I would love to see it go to someone that will truly enjoy it and give it the love it deserves.
