My Comments

9/11/12 Update - Sold!

8/17/12 Update - Here are some more thoughts from another first-person review:

I also went to see that black AC Schnitzer S52 in Scarborough Ontario. This thing needs some serious love, I saw it with one of my buddies that has an Estoril blue M coupe, he recently gave you an update on it. Anyway here's our observations of the coupe.
Pros
- ACS Type 2 Wheels look great!
- ACS handbrake handle and Short Throw shifter with shifter knob
- Carbon fibre trim in the interior (I didn't like it though :P)
- EGR valve delete
- M50 Intake manifold
- Headers
- Sunroof delete
- Momo steering wheel (but it was loose, don't know what is wrong with that)
- No CELs (but we will have to read the fault codes for any hidden ones)
- The rearview mirror is not the auto-dimming type (no problems with leaks and its also a bit smaller so it won't block your view as much)
Cons
- The car was tracked for sure
- Paint is in bad shape and will probably require a full repaint (probably around $5000, to be sure call Rich at Luxury Auto Body in Etobicoke; he's a BMW specialist)
- Diff mount appears to be stock, but status is unknown/can't tell if its damaged or still good (Around $3000 to fix at some point in the future)
- Car appears to have sat for a long time
- Don't know the state of the clutch (the pedal felt better than the red M coupe though and about the same as mine does)
- The car keys were the backup and valet keys, I didn't see the main key (it has the blue BMW logo on it and a mini flashlight built in)
- The exterior is filthy!

8/17/12 Update - Someone just sent me a VIN showing it's also a sunroof-delete. It sounds like it could use a lot of TLC though. I have a few more photos I can send to anyone interested. Here are a few thoughts from someone who saw it in person:

Tires: REALLY Bad
Interior: Shift is just placed there. No roll up netting to divide cargo area, no sunroof. CD deck in trunk area
Engine: has a stainless breather pipe
Body: Several chips (some large), front badge badly worn, wheels ok
VIN #'s on all panels, antenna stem is missing.

Not sure where to start with the inaccuracy of their description. They obviously do not have a clue what they have. I'm also not sure what to think of a dealership whose main advertisement is that they approve everyone for loans. That being said, someone spent quite a bit of money modifiying this coupe. The AC Schnitzer Type II Race wheels look great. It also has ACS pedals and hand brake. I'm not sure what happened to the shift knob. Other modifications include a big brake kit (at least in the front) and a Momo steering wheel. The photos leave much to be desired, but it looks ok as far as I can tell. The spedometer shows that this is an original Canadian market coupe. It looks like you'll be needing to replace the tires sometime soon. The price seems reasonable for the mileage and big money modifications.
