Seller Description

This 2000 BMW M Coupe is powered by an S52 inline-six and was purchased by the seller with 4k miles shown from Reeves BMW in Tampa, Florida in August 2000. The car is finished in Titanium Silver Metallic with two-tone grey and black Nappa leather, and now shows 162k miles. Modifications include a set of chrome stock wheels, and color matched the rear spoiler. No other modifications are noted. Recent services include a new clutch, new brake pads and rotors, and a new windshield fitted in September 2017. This M Coupe is sold with a clean Carfax report and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The silver paint is said to be mostly original. Per the seller, the passenger side of the front bumper was repainted following a parking lot scrape in 2004, and the hatch spoiler was color-matched to the bodywork. The windshield was replaced in September 2017. The owner had the stock silver alloy wheels replaced with a set of chromed BMW wheels. New Hankook Ventus V2 tires are fitted.

The interior is unmodified, and retains stock instrumentation. The correct BMW Business radio is fitted, as is the M-branded steering wheel. The heat, A/C, interior lights, and power features are said to work correctly. Per the seller, the clock runs, but does not keep accurate time. The sunroof kinematics set, which governs the mechanical motion of the sunroof, is not currently working correctly. The sunroof opens normally, but needs to be closed manually.

Photos are provided of the two-tone grey and black Nappa leather seating surfaces. Some creasing is visible on the driver’s seat.

163k miles are shown. This example is shown to retain its auto-dimming rearview mirror in other included pictures of the interior.

This M Coupe is powered by an S52 inline-six, shared with the E36 M3, backed by a 5-speed manual gearbox. No mechanical modifications are noted. The clutch was replaced in September, 2017, as were the brake pads and rotors. Some current issues are noted, including minor leaks at the head gasket and at the valve cover, shock leaks, and leaks at the power steering reservoir and hoses. The seller reports that they have performed oil changes every 5k miles with Mobil One 0W-40 during their ownership.

The original tool kit and first aid kit have been retained and are included, as is a fitted car cover.

The Carfax is attached, and shows history in Florida, Arizona and California from new.

Auction ended with a high bid of $13,750 which did not meet the reserve. Nor should it have.

Very cool to find a coupe with so many miles by one owner. It's in great shape for those high miles and has some great recent maintenance. I'm excited to see how it does.
